This Week’s Outfit Recap
Another week, another outfit recap! Several of these looks are from my quick trip to Miami to see my sister. Whenever I am traveling, my goal is typically to find something easy, comfortable, and cute. Bonus points if I’m traveling with one of my sisters and can steal their clothes. 😉 For this trip, I stuck with pieces I knew I’d love like this crotchet coverup from Amazon. I’m obsessed. The quality feels like Shopbop or Revolve, but the price is so good. I’ve been wearing this silk pajama set from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on repeat. The lavender color is gorgeous, and I swear it’s so soft to sleep in. Don’t get me wrong, LAKE pajamas are still my go-to, but there’s something about silk in the summertime that feels so good. Speaking of comfortable, these striped shorts are my absolute favorite. It feels like you’re wearing pjs but they can totally be dressed up or down. I paired them with a classic white tank top and some basic white sandals for a simple look. I also have to talk about this set I wore when traveling to Miami. It’s so incredibly comfy and great for flights. The cappuccino color is gorgeous too! If you’re planning a trip anytime soon, I can’t recommend this piece enough. Everything I wore for the week is linked below. And don’t forget, you can check out more recent looks on my Amazon storefront or visit my LTK page! Marea Diane Top Washable Silk Tee Short Pajamas

Lessons From Street Style on Bringing Beach Vibes to City Dressing
Clicking your heels won’t land you in the Mediterranean or by the Jersey Shore, but it is possible to manifest vacation vibes with what’s already in your wardrobe. Labor Day is a little over a month away, so now’s your chance to repurpose the button-down you used as a cover-up at the beach to create a breezy city look. Crochet can also make the transition from sand to subway, as can short-shorts. And don’t forget summery stripes in popsicle colors. We Went Street Style-Spotting in London—3 Looks That We Rated This Month
A masterclass in layering, Alyssa’s combinations of a brown linen shirt over a T-shirt and a crochet miniskirt placed over printed Paloma Wool trousers are inspired. I love the addition of even more character pieces, including necklaces that she made herself for her jewellery brand, Moru Studio. Tailored waistcoats and full midi skirts are two of 2024’s biggest trends, and while they will always fall under the category of “elegant”, Grace has made them entirely her own with her cool styling choices, adding a bright trainer, baseball cap and printed tote. As the owner of one of East London’s coolest vintage fashion spots, Somewhere in Hackney, it should come as no surprise that Mel has great personal taste, too. I definitely wanted to steal (read: politely ask to borrow) her ’70s heeled thong sandals.

The 5 Fashion Trends You’ll Be Living in All Summer
It’s a cruel, tantalizing trick we editors go through every spring/summer show season: In the bleak midwinter of February, we trudge through the slush to watch the upcoming collections dance down the runways. These shows and presentations bring to mind visions of the happy, sunny people we’ll be when the weather finally warms and all those sundresses and swimsuits hit the sales floors. Well, I am happy to declare the wait is finally over! Temperatures and hemlines are officially on the rise, and it is high time we pull out all the summer inspiration you’ve been waiting for. From Celine to Stella McCartney, Michael Kors to Miu Miu, these are the hottest trends to keep you looking cool all summer. Thread Count In case you haven’t heard, boho chic is back on the rise, and nothing captures the easy-breezy spirit of summer quite like crochet. Delicate and airy, an heirloom-quality knit is a timeless summer investment that will last seasons to come. Throw it on over your favorite one-piece (or your favorite nude shapewear for that illusion look) and pair it with a perfect summer sandal. It’s very Jane Birkin, n’est-ce pas? Old Sport From the impending summer Olympics to Challengers to Bode’s instantly sold-out revival of Nike’s iconic Astro Grabber, something in the air has us ready to throw it back to old-school athletic design. Channel your parents’ gym class uniforms in retro short-shorts and jersey-inspired tees. And then polish off the look with this summer’s trendiest sneakers. Pajama Party We’ve all had those days where we’ve longed to laze around in our jammies…so boy, do I have great news for you: Pajamas are getting a runway-worthy overhaul this summer. Think oversized shirting, relaxed pants, and elevated boxer shorts in crisp, classic stripes (bonus points for a matching set to make the look feel put together). The key to keeping it from looking too snoozy? Accessories you certainly wouldn’t wear to bed, like a cute Mary Jane, a structured bag, and your favorite jewelry. White Out We’ve got a ways to go before Labor Day arrives, so now is the time to go all-in on all-white. Monochromatic styling took over the spring runways, from Acne Studios to Ferragamo. The color even made up the bulk of Valentino’s spring/summer 2024 collection, opening with a series of eight white looks in a row. Thankfully, it’s a super easy vibe to recreate, from top to white-sneakered toe. This is exactly what we want to wear on the hottest days of the year. Just…be careful with that iced latte. Polo Match More polished than a T-shirt and not quite as prim as a button-down, the polo is about to be your go-to summer top. We’ve been loving all things preppy ever since Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2024 collection resurrected layered polos with popped collars (boat shoes included). And it’s a surprisingly versatile staple. Perfectly at home on the golf green, it can also be dressed up for the office with the right skirt and heel. Just opt for summer-friendly fibers like cotton and linen, and you’ll be good to go.
These 8 Swimwear Trends Will Be Everywhere This Year
In case you missed it, there’s a crisp hint of spring in the air, and ski trip Instagram posts are starting to dwindle. That can only mean one thing: Swim season is nigh. Whether or not you’ve already booked that first summer vacation, the least you can do is start planning your outfits for said getaway. This year, it’ll be easier than ever to build your wardrobe around swimwear, as the line between clothing and technical swim styles becomes more and more blurred. Heck, a black swim tank is one of my favorite tops to wear in the summer (no sweat stains, invisible lift, cute style, what more could I need?). Throw on some denim shorts or a terry dress with some cute sandals, and you’re in business. “We’ve seen it throughout runway shows over the past two seasons: micro mesh sarong and loosely gauged knitwear coverups,” said Jordan LaGuardia and Terese Ostendorf LaGuardia, co-founders of Meridian Swimwear. “This sheer layer trend paired with the pantless trend is bringing swimwear into everyday styling. It’s everywhere—from fashion to décor, from our phones to our hair to our shoes. And now, our swimwear. The coquette phenomenon (a.k.a. the obsession with ultra-feminine aesthetics) will, to no one’s surprise, continue well into summer. Prepare to see bows, baby pink, ruffles, and ruching galore.
